Connecting with Your Inner Emotions through Your Body

This month can be a month of feeling BIG things.

Whether that's anticipation and/or loneliness.

Joy and/or overwhelm.

Comfort and/or anxiety.

Peace and/or frustration.

We're often, not just at this time, feeling a lot of different things all in one go aren't we?!

Internal Family Systems (IFS) therapy is rather wonderful in that it already includes the body in the way it works. And it provides a way to connect to and relate to those feelings. So this week I've mapped out a way for you to connect with one of those feelings.

The questions might sound odd - but ask inside, and rather than thinking, wait to see if an answer comes. If it doesn't, know that's ok too, and you might stay with the first couple of questions.

Let me know how you get on - and if any questions or challenges arise as you have a go at this!

Connecting to ourselves takes time.

So if this doesn't work for you right away, that's ok.

But know that when you take the time to notice what's going on inside, you send the message to yourself:

You're worth spending time with.

I respect you, and your experience matters.

I make time to listen to what you're saying.

And that's important, don't you think?

If you want to work through anything that's been on your mind, body and/or heart, 1:1 coaching applications are now open for 2024. Click here to find out more about IFS and to get started.
